Hi Kate,
I sympathize with computer crashes. I've had the
same thing happen twice (seriously) but managed to
recover the hard disk once, although it took several
weeks before I had my disk on a *pile* of CD-ROMs.

We've had several problems of late, and the
recent Yahoo security breach hasn't helped
at all. That's why I bit the bullet and added
a secure mailing list to the Bookwoman.org
site. We used to be on Womensites, but
maintenance was very difficult so when
Lee Lawton retired as list wrangler we
moved to Yahoo, although many women
were opposed because they didn't like
Yahoo. So now we have a total of three
list membership rolls on three different
servers. I'd like to encourage everyone
to move to the bookwoman.org server,
as it's much more secure, completely
under our own control, and less attractive
to malefactors.

Oh, how nice for you. I remember how
thrilled I was to see my own words in
print for the first time.
Cheers,
Lee Anne
