The Book Discussion Group [BDG] is a subgroup of the Bookwoman literary discussion group which focuses on an individual book chosen by popular vote. Books are nominated and selected periodically in an overlapping cycle, so that there will always be a book being discussed and one or more in the queue for next month's selection. The books with the highest number of votes in each election are entered into the queue with some juggling if a particular books seems like it might take a while to find or finish. As with other Bookwoman topics, the BDG is limited to discussions of books by women.
